Usually, my blog gets traffic for the IT Show, PC Show, COMEX and SITEX about 3 to 4 weeks prior to the events. However, for this coming COMEX 2009 show, the visitor numbers are already increasing steadily since early this month.

What Keywords to Optimize?

The keyword to optimize for is quite obvious, isn’t it?

One should optimize for COMEX, right?

Wrong!

From my keyword research, the top 2 most popular search terms among people who are looking for information on COMEX are:

If you are trying to drive traffic to your website for COMEX related search terms, you may also want to optimize for comex 2009 jobs. Usually, there are many young people looking for temp jobs at these consumer electronic fairs. And this traffic comes earlier than those looking for a bargain buy.

With all these early traffic, does it mean COMEX 2009 is going to be the biggest ever in terms of sale volume? As for the upcoming events, here’s a list of IT and PC shows lined up for the rest of the year:

• IT Show – usually in March to coincide with the 1-week school holiday
• PC Show – usually in June, the 4-week school holiday
• COMEX – usually in August, over the weekend just before the 1-week school and
• SITEX – in late November, also during school holiday, just weeks before the Christmas so you can shop for a digital camera or a notebook computer for your loved ones.

Over the past 10 days, the new blog wassup.myblog.sg attracted nearly 400 visitors looking for information related to “natas”. All these visitors came through the search engine listing because of 2 short blog posts!

Case Study 2: Singapore IT Show 2008

The Singapore IT Show 2008 will start this Thursday, 6 March 2008. My blog post on the IT Show event was made yesterday, and it is now ranked among the top 10 for several “IT Show” related search terms.
