Female Internet Marketer – rarity in Asia?

Hey! You know what I’ve just realised, there are relatively fewer women in Asia doing Internet Marketing. Why do I say that? Let me explain. I have been running a couple of traffic exchange websites for about 6 months now. As of this morning, the combined membership exceeds 578 and about 97% fo them are from outside Asia. From the name and id they used, I can guess whether they are male or female.

My guess is that 40% or more of my members are female and they are very active in promoting their online business. In fact, in the USA, women are better Internet Marketers than men – just like in the corporate world, they make more money than men!

Female Internet Marketer – the rarity in Asia?

Now let’s come back to Asia, I am involved with an Internet Marketing eGroup for several months now. Members are mainly Malaysians and Singaporeans. There are more than 110 members. I guess we have less than 20% female members. And none of the active contributors are female! We certainly don’t know what women like to discuss in an Internet Marketing eGroup.

So when are the Asian women going to take on Internet Marketing?

Isn’t Internet marketing home-based business perfect for the work-at-home mum?

And I do not agree that women are less Internet saavy than men.
