Press Release Optimization

I have been working on couple of press releases recently. One for submission via PRWeb.com and the other via PRLeap.com.

Press release is a very effective way get your announcement to your targeted audience via the Internet. There are a number channels where your press release will pick up by journalists and searchers. To me, press release is one of my strategies in search engine optimization.

Let’s talk more about searchers and who press release can help you to get better exposure on the major search engines such as Google and Yahoo. Press release can provide you with the very important text links which will help to increase your Pagerank and your position in the search engine ranking results. You can embed your targeted keywords and link it to your web page thereby providing a valuable backlink from a high ranking website such as PRWeb.com (PR7) and PRLeap.com (PR6).

From my experience, press release is more powerful than submitting your articles to articles directories. But I have to qualify this statement – I am talking about the paid version of press release which costs between US$10 to US$360.

Here’s how you can optimize your press release for search engines.

1. Use your targeted keywords in the title and summary of the press release

2. Repeat your targeted keywords in the first paragraph of the press release. You may want to repeat the targeted phrase between 3 to 5 times in a 400 to 600 words press release.

3. It is very important to use related keywords increase the relevancy of your press release.

4. Always provide the full URL of your web page in the press release e.g. Visit http://www.timmguru.com for more information.

5. Select the category that you are submitting to carefully. The right category will increase your relevancy of your press release.

Hi, thanks for sharing on how good to submit to press release. I never use PR but i will examine how good it is. However one thing I know for sure. If PRWeb.com have PR7 and PRLeap.com have PR6, it should be great for backlink
