On Wordpress Finally
I finally got one of my blog on Wordpress - I installed the software and imported my existing Blogger blog.
This is what I did.
The Blogger blog was originally published to my server. Wordpress did not have a function to import Blogger blogs published own server. So to work around the restriction, I had to re-publish all the pages to Blogspot.com**. Then imported them to my new Wordpress blog.
Fortunately, there were only 30+ posts, so it didn’t take too long. It was a pretty smooth process.
The difficult part is the customizing of the Wordpress template. Well, I got some Wordpress tips from Blogopreneur and actually managed to create a satisfactory search engine optimized template!
You can take a look at and compare the new Shi Heng Cheong Blog (Wordpress) with the older Shi Heng Cheong blog (Blogger.com) versions.
**I added <meta=”robots” content=”noindex”> to prevent indexing of these page so that my new pages created Wordpress will be the ones to be indexed.

Great work, Shifu. I must work on this switch too. Have more than 80 posts. If I delay longer, then will be even more challenging.
