Adsense Content Websites

Reflecting thoughtsYou know all the hypes about making money with Adsense. You have PLR Adsense Websites, Adsense website templates and tons of Internet marketers peddling Adsense related products on the net and in your mailbox. And one of the most popular name in this area is Joel Comm. He is the author of the e-book Adsense Secrets. Nowadays, if you’re on his mailing list, he will be blasting emails to sell you all sorts of stuff that are profitable to him and I believe he makes more money doing email marketing than selling his own Adsense Secrets e-book.

Now, let’s talk about Adsense Content Website. Is it still profitable to build a content website and monetize the traffic with Adsense?

Well, let me put it in this way. In the ideal Google world, Ads by Google should be placed on web pages with interesting and useful content that visitors love, particular niche websites. So if your website falls in this category, then you can expect to make money with Adsense in the long run. However, if you are using one of those PLR Adsense Websites which I mentioned above or pulling contents from other websites and paste them into one of the Adsense website templates then I would tell you not to waste your time.

Recently, one of the participants of my SEO workshop asked me how he should go about building niche marketing website to make money with Adsense. These are my advices to him:

Adsense Trapped1. Build a website on a topic that is close to your heart, it should be something that you have lots of knowledge or experience. It may be your hobby, things that you do during your free time or even your profession.

2. Your website will be interesting to your reader if you write the content with interest.

3. No idea what is hot and traffic pulling. Read the weekly supplements of the local newspapers, e.g. Digital Life, Mind Your Body and Urban. Or go to eBay and research what are people buying…

4. Don’t worry about Adsense or generating revenue, think about your readers first. Write to tell a story. Because good stories bring you good traffic.
